Your 38c was made between 1964 and 1976. However in 1975 Crosman made the serial number change. The first number (s) indicated the year and the next 2 numbers indicated the month. Example 1176564 This would indicate the gun was made in November in the year of 1976 (11-76 ) Prior to that they were just serial numbers. (Your falls into this category) So your was made between 1964 and 1975.
HOWEVER! If it has a metal rear sight it was made before 1973. If it has a plastic rear sight is was made after 1973.
As for the value. Well you did not give me any information about the condition of the pistol so it is not possible for me to give you an estimate of value. I own 4 model 38's, in my collection. I have spent as little as $5 and as much as $45. None of them are perfect.
I am not sure of the model pellgun you are asking about. Crosman made a model 622 Pellgun repeater from 1971 to 78 not 1964. Is this the model you are asking about? Or is it another pellet gun or Rifle? Please give me the model number along with the condition of the gun. Is it working? is it in excellent, very good, good, fair or poor condition? All this determines the value of the gun or rifle. With more information I can give and estimate of value. The model 622 pellgun is a six shot, clip, rifle that looks similar to a pump shotgun. The loading clip is on the right side.
Check you numbers again. I have no listing for a Crosman model 420 in any of my catalogs or resources.
The Crosman 150 was made between 1956-67. Please state the condition of the gun to get and estimate of value. Is it still working? Is it in excellent, very good, good, fair or poor condition?
