i have a 10 ga., double barrel "over & under". stamped on the barrel it says "made in Italy". on the other side of barrel is "Richland Arms Co.". I'm also a bit puzzeled and confused. Know anything ?
letoacdarli I believe the Manufacturer is F.lli. Marocchi S. Google Marocchi Arms.
Iver Johnson made single barrel and side-by-side double barrel shotguns from 1909 to 1956. Over under doubles were also imported from Italy. The values of the guns can go to $2000 for an excellent example of the Skeeter model double barrel with prices tumbling fast for lower grades in less good condition. It would be best to have a local gunsmith evaluate it for you at a nominal charge.
Every gun store or pawn shop in my area don't want anything to do with it. One offered 100 bucks tho. Cool guns regardless.
A quality shotgun made in Italy.
$200-$300 depending on condition. No longer made Italian shotgun resembling the Franchi, also made in Italy.
I have a Single barrel Galef Made in Italy. Galef is the Opels of guns. The 2 barrel helps but dont expect half of what the Cadilac and Porsche of guns.
The Savage model 312 is an over under shotgun that Savage imported from Italy from 1990 through 1993. The shotgun was manufactured in northern Italy in the Gardone region.
read information on top of barrel. If it 'says' Colt mfg co, then it is a colt. If repro from Italy t will so indicate.......................
That will depend on which Iver Johnson you have. The one most commonly encountered is the single shot Champion which will range from $25 for a parts gun to $150 in like-new condition. If it has a matted rib, add $25 in all grades. If it has a ventilated rib, those prices nearly double. Then there are the Skeeter Model and the Super Trap, both single shots which run from $375 to $1100. A Hercules Grade side by side double barrel lists from $250 to $550 and the Silver Shadow, an over-under double barrel manufactured in Italy for Iver Johnson, lists from $150 to $350.
Italy
The serial number does NOT contain the date of manufacture on a Benelli (or any Italian-made firearm). You need to look for some "proof-markings," likely along the left side of the barrel beneath where it says, "Benelli Armi SPA Urbino Made in Italy." One of these markings will have two letters enclosed in a box. That is your date code.
