Made after WW 2, the Universal is a civilian manufactured rifle. In many cases, parts will NOT interchange with the military carbines. A check of recent sales on a gun auction site shows these selling for $350-$450, about half the value of a military M1 Carbine. As a commercially produced rifle, their value is as a shooter, and not as a collector's item.
Around $500, depending on condition.
depending on maker and condition, $300-$800
The Universal brand M-1 Carbine was made after WW II for the civilian market, and may or may not have the same pasrts as a GI carbine- the design changed over time. They are considered of lesser quality than the GI carbine, and do not command the same price. In good condition, these seem to sell for about $250, more or less.
Depending on condition, maker, and originality, these are selling for $700-$800.
Depending on how old and the condition I'd say anywhere from 400-1000$

If it is a military issued carbine, and not a civilian copy, depending on maker, condition, model, etc, they are worth between $600-$1000 (for some or the rare makers)
