that would depend on condition, model (military or commercial) age, all original. then you could look somewhere between $900 to couple thousand..........but, of course, you would need a buyer..........and that would require placing an ad.............
I must disagree with the above answer somewhat. The value of true military models could go much higher. It could be worth as high as $100,000. The Model 1911 was made from 1911-1917 in what is commonly referred to as Blue Steel. These pistols is great condition are worth as much as $35,000. Pistols made after 1917 had a Parkerized finish and some of these are very valuable. Any model made by the Singer company are extremely valuable. You need to have it appraised by an expert to really know the value. You may have a $500 pistol or a pistol worth thousands. I have a Colt model made in 1917 that has been appraised at $30,000. Many things determine value. Seek out an expert for an appraisal. Being struck by lighting is more probable then the probability of finding $100,000 colt pistol. When was the last time and place you saw a colt sell for $100,000 ??? I doubt if a Colt National Match in nice condition would go for $35,000..... Again, it depends on condition, year and mfg....from that comes value. check at: felix@bedians.com
