Which model?
You will need a gunsmith to find out.
Many have, primarily Colt.
Some type of Model 1911 pistol, the kind the U.S. military used from 1911 to 1985. I don't know the particular manufacturer or brand of the one he used in the show. Many companies make them, although back in the 1980s when that show was popular, Colt was the most popular and famous.
The Colt Python is a .357 Magnum caliber revolver. The gun was first introduced in 1955 but production of the gun stopped around 1996 due to many legal issues.
Both firearms are essentially identical. The AMT Hardballer is a stainless steel clone or copy of the Colt 1911 style pistol. They assemble and disassemble the same. They both utilize the venerable Browning design where the barrel is held in place by a bushing and a link. They both have grip and slide mounted safety systems. They both are chambered in .45ACP caliber and have been chambered in other calibers as well (Colt chambered their various 1911 pistols in many more caliber choices than AMT did). The Wikipedia site reports issues with galling of the steel on the Harballers. This author owned a Hardballer in the late 1970's and early 1980's and did not experience issues with that, believing the lack of galling to be based on frequent lubrication of friction surfaces and limited firing of the pistol. Parts from a Colt pistol are not interchangeable with parts from the AMT pistols.
A used, low-end 1911 in horrible shape might sell for $150 (as of February 2015). A new, lower-end 1911 in great shape might start at $420--$500. A new, high-end 1911 with many special features can start at $1500 and go to $3000, or more.
Hi, the M1911 better known as Colt 1911 is made of approximately 51 or 53 different pieces. But in general terms you could say it is like the most of handguns, it has a charging-valve, a hammer, a 5 or 6 inch barrel (depending in the Manufacture Year) and a 7 round magazine, nothing special about it yet it is a very reliable and effective self-defense weapon for short-range-shots. Hope that's the answer you were looking for.
your colt 1911 auto was made in the later half of 1913.as to value it would depend on many condition questions such as amount of blueing, the condition of the grips etc.I would have a pro evaluate it.
the semi-automatic 45 pistol holds seven rounds in the magazine and one in the chamber
It was made by REMINGTON in 1943. you probably have a Colt slide on a REMINGTON frame. this is not unusual. many times different make slides on found on different make frames.....................
The standard issue handgun of the philippine army is the m1911a1 .45 acp. But nowadays most filipino soldiers are buying their own side-arms maybe because of shortages.
