Still need more details to give a precise answer. What make of rifle is it? Who is the manufacturer? Are you asking for the value of a Mauser rifle, or another type of rifle chambered in 7.92x57 (such as the FN49, which was manufactured during that time)?
100-1000 and up depending on specifics
The "British"- meaning the British government- did not make an 8mm Mauser rifle. Some private gun makers in England have- but without more information, there is no way to answer. Please repost your question with some identifying information, and we can try to help. Let's start with all markings on your rifle.
No. If you try that the gun will blow up and you might be injured. You need 8mm Mauser ammunition.
The VZ 24 PISTOL is a .380 ACP. The VZ 24 RIFLE was made in 8mm Mauser, and in 7.65 Argentine Mauser
it would have been his trusty 8mm bolt action mauser
Depends heavily on the condition and originality of the rifle. Anywhere from $150-$500.
No- the 7x57 was developed separately, in 1892 by Paul Mauser. The 8mm Mauser (actually the 7.92 Mauser, but every calls it the 8mm) was developed by a government board.
You need a professional appraisal. Could be in the 100-10000 or more range
