The Mangekyo Sharingan is the second stage to the Sharingan. Once activated, techniques like Tsukuyomi, Amaterasu, and Susano'o are awakened. The only ability that is missing from this list is Kamui. So far, Kakashi is the only one who can use this technique to warp objects to other dimensions. Tsukuyomi is the ultimate Genjutsu. Time and space is warped in this "Nightmare Realm" and a few seconds in the real world can feel like days in the Tsukuyomi. Amaterasu is the ultimate Fire Style Ninjutsu. The Amaterasu was named after the Japanese God of the Sun. It is an eternal black flame that never goes out until either the target is eliminated, or the caster ends the jutsu. Susano'o is the ultimate Spritual Ninjutsu. Itachi Uchiha's Susano'o carried the Totsuka Blade and the Yata Mirror. The Tostuka Blade is a sword that seals it's target in a drunken stupor inside of the hilt (which looks like a bottle of sake) for the rest of eternity. The Yata Mirror is a shield that repels absolutely everything. The only way to beat an opponent with the Yata Mirror is to wait for the caster to run out of chakra. Sasuke Uchiha's Susano'o is similar to Itachi's but uses a bow and arrow made of pure Amaterasu flames. The Mangekyo Sharingan is an extremely powerful and dangerous Visual Jutsu. Overusing it damages the user's eyesight until they become completely blind. The only way to stop this proccess is to replace your eyes with the eyes of another Mangekyo Sharingan user. It restores the eyesight and gives the user more power. The result: the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan. The only ones to ever use this technique are Sasuke and Madara Uchiha.
