Some key differences between schools 50 years ago and now include the introduction of technology into classrooms, changes in teaching methods to be more student-centered, and an increased emphasis on diversity and inclusion in education. Additionally, there has been a shift towards more standardized testing and accountability measures in modern education systems.
individual aim of education........every human being is unique and possess different attitudes, aptitudes, interests, capacity and ability. thus the main aim of education is all round development of the individual .its aim is to draw out the innate powers of the individual."education is a natural, harmonious and progessive development of man's innate powers." on the other hand social aim of education means development of society . it says that individual is part of society therefore unless society develops individual cannot develop or in other words we can say that individual cannot develop in vaccum.therefor social aims of education tends to stress on the development of society of which individual is considered a part
FIRST OF all I am a Nepali so i want to differentiate about modern education in Nepal to gurukul system in Nepal (older education system). A student should live with their Gurus so they would get limited education only of what their teacher (guru) have taught .But now, in Nepal, their has been computer system education at which students can get all universal answers and facts what they want to know about. Science and technology have far developed. At older times the Guru's were based on epics, story's of Hinduism, casts, religious books. But now, you can see people taking science and maths as their important subject. So, their has been many development in Nepal in respect to history of Nepal. Student used to influence on behaviour at older times and there were not girl or women education but now there is coeducational education. Yes, and in this modern world there is no use of this kind of education, only to learn about the vedas would not help us to do anything in this world. Whatever we need is to learn the things happening and which is going to happen not the things that already have passed away.
Formal assessment can be traced back to the early 1900s when educational psychologists, such as Alfred Binet and Lewis Terman, developed standardized tests to measure intelligence. These assessments evolved over time and are now commonly used in education and psychology to evaluate learning and performance.
In the 1700s in New York, education was primarily provided by private tutors or small local schools. Schools were often run by religious groups and focused on teaching reading, writing, arithmetic, and sometimes Latin or Greek. Education was not mandatory, and only children from wealthy families typically received formal education.
