no, their children can have hazle green eyes and hazle grey eyes but they can never have hazle brown eyes.
I would have to completely disagree as well. Central Heterochromia is so common it's not even funny. I have Sectoral (or partial) heterochromia and i have yet to see anyones eyes (in person) that look like mine. I have one full blue eye, and the other eye is brown with a chunk of blue in it.) So to answer your question- Central Heterochromia= definitely common. Have you seen many people walking around with two completely different colored eyes? I have to see even one, but think this - central heterochromia is even rare among that! It signifies abnormally levels of toxin in the body in most cases, but sometimes it's genetic. (I have central heterochromia) I have central heterochromi(genetic)I have three colors actuall. brown in the cener and green outter. but there is also a even darker green ring on the very outside edge of my iris. my dad has full heterochromia one eye is green and one is brown. His green eye also has central heterochromia. newtest3 ---- Hello! I would have to disagree with them. Central Heterochromia doesn't seem to be as rare as Partial or Full Heterochromia. I myself have Central Heterochromia and know a few other people who do as well, whereas I don't know anyone with Partial or Full. And from what I understand of the research I've done, Partial is even rarer than Full. In the people I know with Central Heterochromia, most of them are usually classified as having "hazel" eyes because they have those different colored rings. Now, that's not the case for all people with hazel eyes, but it's very common for them to be misclassified. So in terms of rarity, you have to think how many people in the world have hazel eyes? ~ I guess I'm the odd one then... I have Sectoral and Central heterochromia... My eyes are normally green, but when you look at the, the top half of both of them is brown. They also have a dark grey ring around the outside of them, as I just recently discovered. The odd thing about that, is that my mom had blue/grey-ish eyes, and my dad has hazel ones. Neither my parents, nor their parents have brown eyes.
Yes. In fact, our eyes are able to percieve colour when it receives the light reflected from the object. The rods in eyes convert the light waves into an impulse which gets transmitted to the brain and analysed. Then we are able to 'see' the colour.
Eye colour is not controlled by a single gene, it is a combination of different genes that will ultimately dictate your eye colour. To understand this, we will first consider one of the genes involved. There are two alleles for this one gene, either 'blue' or 'not blue' eyes. A person who inherits a 'blue' allele from both parents will have blue eyes, ie we say that their phenotype (how they appear)is blue. A person who inherits a 'blue' allele from one parent and a 'not blue' allele from the other will have a phenotype (appearance)of 'not blue' eyes because 'not blue' is dominant over 'blue'. Then we must consider another gene that is involved. if you inherit 'not blue' eye colour then this other gene that you inherit will kick in and give your eyes some colour. A small amount of colour (melanin pigment) will make your eyes grey. More and more of this pigment can make them green, then hazel and then brown. eg - A blue eyed man (both his parents therefore must have had blue eyes) , married to a brown eyed woman (who had one parent 'blue' and the other 'not blue') could have children with blue, grey, green, hazel or brown eyes.
a gene is something that you get off your parents eg. your mum has brown hair and blue eyes and your dad has red hair and green eyes and so you have your mothers genes for your brown hair and your fathers green eyes
Yes. I have green eyes and the difference is that hazel have a darker middle, and in the light appears a muddy green, but in the dark apeares a light or dark brown.
Hazel eyes are not highly common. They are eyes that can change color from brown to green, and somewhere in between. A genotype of Gg would produce hazel eyes.
Well hazel can range from light brown to dark green. It's mainly a mixture of green and brown or the imbetween color of both. A lot of people who think they have brown eyes actually have hazel eyes. For example my fathers eyes appear to be brown in average lighting than while in sunlight or around a bright light his eyes are green. Its because he has shades of green in his brown eyes.
Yes, blue and green are hazel eyes and brown and green also are.
Hazel eyes are a blend between green and brown. At points in time, hazel eyes will change colour, sort of like a chamelion. When you are young you will be at the point where your eyes are the most green. As you get older, your eyes will become more brown, and sometimes will go directly to brown.
There is no difference we look exactly as the monkeys do. well we don't look exactly alike i don't think monkeyes get blue or green or hazel eyes just brown. :P
it would be hazel i believe my mom has that color of eyes and she says that it is hazel
Brown green eyes are often referred to as hazel eyes, which are characterized by a mixture of brown and green pigments in the iris.
