Chilling is the reduction in temperature of the required solvent below than its wet bulb temperature while the rest is considered as cooling i.e. if we are only reducing the temperature of solvent to an extent such that the final temperature is above its wet bulb temperature than it will be considered as COOLING.

What is the difference between rated cooling capacity and the nominal cooling capacity of an air conditioner?

nominal cooling capacity is the derated cooling capacity at a certain design condition. Rated cooling capacity is the cooling capacity at sea level

Newton's law of cooling applies to objects that are?

Newton's law of cooling applies to objects that are both heating and cooling. Newton's Law of Cooling states that the rate of change of the temperature of an object is proportional to the difference between its own temperature and the temperature of its surroundings.

Diff between aircondition refrigeration?

As I understand your question, it is "What is the difference between air conditioning and refrigeration?" If that is your question, the answer is: There is really no difference except for the application. In either case, it is the cooling of a space. Air conditioning is the cooling of a space where people might be, in order to make it comfortable for people. Refrigeration is the cooling of a space where food or some other substance might be, in order to keep the food or substance cold or frozen.

If wet bulb temperature is 35 and outlet water temperature from cooling tower is 25 then the cooling tower approach will be effective and what is the solution?

The Approach is the difference between wet bulb temperature and outlet water temperature from cooling tower. That means , in this case, Approach = 35-25=10 degrees.

How does an air cooled chiller work?

The air cooling of a chiller signifies , the cooling of radiator. in a chiller the compressor compressors the gas which on expansion cools in side Copper tubes causing the chilling effect. The refrigerants get heated up when compressed in a compressor. this heated refrigerant is cooled by blowing air in air cooled chillers. There are also water cooled chillers.

Why is your air condition blowing hot air?

1. The possibility that the setting switch is for blower/ fan or for heating and not cooling in air conditioners that have both heating/cooling system.. 2.The chilling compartment /compression of cooling gas has leaked. 3.The compression is weak to chill the cooling compartment.
