Well, at least in Polyhedrons, a Vertex is the point at the tip of a pyramid, apex is at the end of the cone.
An apex is the top of a pyramid or cone. Technically, the apex is a vertex due to its vertex-like corner. Prisms DO NOT have apexes. They only have vertexes because they do not rise up like a pyramid.
----------------------------------------------------------------
An apex is usually pointed end of an object; the tip; a point of culmination.
A vertex is usually the highest point or in mathematics , the point at which the sides of an angle intersect; the point on a triangle or pyramid opposite to and farthest away from its base.
Some apexes may also be vertices.
sphere has 1 face and no vertex and it rolls but cone has 2 faces and it can roll and it has 1 vertex
It is the vertex at which all the triangular faces meet.
Apex, or vertex
The vertex or the apex. I prefer apex to describe the upper most tip of a triangle.
A cone does not have a vertex. A vertex is defined as a point where two lines meet; a triangle has three vertices, and the angular face of a pyramid has a vertex. However, a cone is a three-dimensional figure and has a curved surface. The base of a cone is circular. The top of the cone is a single point called the apex of the cone.

The difference between standard form and vertex form is the standard form gives the coefficients(a,b,c) of the different powers of x. The vertex form gives the vertex 9hk) of the parabola as part of the equation.
Yes. This vertex is also known as the apex.
An edge is where two faces of a three dimensional figure meet. An vertex is where three edges meet.
apex
It is the apex or vertex
You could call the vertex, the apex, the tip, or the point of the cone.

sphere has 1 face and no vertex and it rolls but cone has 2 faces and it can roll and it has 1 vertex
the difference between a cone and a prism is that a cone has no edges and only one vertex and a prism has both edges and vertexes.
It is the vertex at which all the triangular faces meet.
