Realistic (Realism) depicts subjects as they appear to the human eye. Abstract does not attempt to depict subjects as they appear to the human eye. Instead it looks to use shapes, colour, forms and textures.

Abstract art can look realistic, using shadow and 3d images but its not how you would see the subject in real life
