A transcript is a written record of a spoken language. So let's say you are looking at a transcript of an episode of a show you like. It will only tell you what the characters are saying, maybe a little information on what he/she is doing for a better understanding.
A script on the other hand is a written version of the entire episode, including what the characters say, what they do, where they are, if they've been there before, sometimes even the day and time. Depending on who wrote it it may include the characters age and some background information on him/her. It basically tells everything that is happening. An actor or actress would read a script to study before they preform, not a transcript.
