What is the difference between 32 aoto an 32 long cal?

Mainly case length. These are not interchangeable. 32 auto goes into automatics and vice-versa. .32 auto shell has a bevel near the flange end so the ejector can grab it. Also the flange has a smaller diameter so that if you even try to put it in a revolver, it will either slide through the cylinder or get stuck.
