A setgement, which is also known as a TCP segment is something that is created based on an application layer of data. An IP datagram is something generated which contains the TCP segment. The segment is located in the payload section.
A PDU (Protocol Data Unit) is defined by which layer it is in. In the physical layer and network layer, it is synonymous with the packet, in the data link layer, it is the frame. In the transport layer, it is a datagram for UDP. A datagram holds one or more PDU's, as it is the basic unit of transferring information via packet switching.
This is a more generic term that is often used in describing protocols that function at higher levels of the OSI model, ususally the network layer and up. Datagram is a less specific term than PDU.Datagrams contain logical addressing information, such as an IP address, logical connection identifiers, such as port numbers, and data that came from a computer application. The UDP protocol does not guarantee delivery of the datagrams.A PDU is a Power Distribution Unit.I have added a link to a PDU from Intro Delta to show you what one is.
what is difference between communication and transport
difference between ip address and class
the difference is...
Source and destination IP address
Yes there is a large difference between the two. A line has no end and a line segment ends.
datagram is used in conectionless n/w e.g. UDP Whereas packets used in connection oriented n/w e.g. ATM X.25 tcp
it indicates which layer 4 protocol is carried in a datagram
The difference between intervals and segment is that intervals include the waves, and segments don't.
a ray continues on and on but a line segment stops
A segment only goes between 2 fixed points where a line goes on indefinitely
the males segment is round. the females segment is pointy

I googled and found... Leg/Segment A leg is that portion of the trip between consecutive flight stops. The segment can be a group of legs, because the segment is that portion of a trip from boarding point to a deplaning point.
A datagram or packet needs to be self-contained without reliance on earlier exchanges because there is no connection of fixed duration between the two communicating points as there is, for example, in most voice telephone conversations.
segments are fairly large and normally attract several competitors, niches are smaller and may attract only one or a few competitors
