Not that I would pierce a belly button for a client (I personally don't care for 'em), but, were I inclined to do it, I would probably use a good surgical scrub like chlorhexidine gluconate 4%. I buy mine at the local pharmacy, it's with the other antiseptics. (at least at Walgreens) I use it for tattoo prep and as a hand/arm scrub before I glove up. No problems so far.
Good of you to ask this question though, there are a lot bad stuff on the skin that definitely doesn't belong below the surface. Now, just find a good, clean (you can smell the clean!) professional to do the job for you.
Good luck whatever you decide!

Never heard of that stuff but any sea salt spray should be fine for cleaning. H2Ocean is pretty good. A mixture of plain old warm water and natural sea salt is fine too.
The best answer I have for you is to spray it frequently with antiseptic spray or cover it in antiseptic cream once or twice daily. It should go away withing 1-2 days. If the redness and swelling is excessive, go and check up with the piercing professionals in the shop that you initially got your piercing.
Sometimes its different at different places but for me it cost £30 plus the belly jewellery which came to £32 altogether oh and when you have it done you may need to buy a spray to keep the piercing clean which costs £5 hope this helps! xoxo
Yes, there is a spray that will freeze your belly-button before getting it peirced...you won't feel a thing! :)
To avoid infection, all piercings should be kept clean and inspected for possible infection carefully. A quick spray with an antiseptic spray, once or twice every week, is a good routine to follow.

If not cleaned properly, belly button rings can get infected.Bacteria can get inside and therefore infect the naval. The best way to treat it is to buy sea salt spray and clean it.
I would wait 3. Months (: that's what my piercer told me
spray the antiseptic lotion on the emery board.
Antiseptic spray is used to clean and disinfect minor cuts, scrapes, and burns to prevent infection. It helps kill bacteria and other pathogens, reducing the risk of complications during the healing process.
No, I spray my food with antiseptic before I eat it. And bleach.
