"Best" is way too subjective a term. A lot of people like to think Kimber is an all-around best, but, personally, I don't think a pistol that price should use metal injection molding parts for their internals. For an all-purpose 1911, I'd probably go with Springfield Armory. For competitive target shooting, my choice would probably be the Colt Gold Cup.
I would recommend avoiding the Sig-Sauer 1911s. And this is difficult for me to say, being an extremely devout fan of Sig-Sauer, but their 1911s were most definitely not up to par. Every customer who came to me with one had to have burring removed from the frame rails, and the finish left much to be desired.
Best left to a gunsmith.
Ok
No
That is not a serial no of a Remington 1911A1 they stopped in 1945 with 2465139.
The model 1911/1911A1 Governmental pistol with that serial number was produced in 1944.
what's the question ???
Your 1911A1 pistol was made in 1944.
A semi-automatic pistol chambered in 45 ACP.
Depending on configuration, 6-13 rounds.
Its a refurbished pistol's from Tanay, Rizal Philippines by Floro Manufacturing. a selected surplus 1911a1 from Vietnam, or any US Allied government issued firearms. Including Viper 1911a1 and Viper 9mm, a Tokarev suprlus models from Russia and China. They just changed the name into Viper and Federal. They also manufactures paper materials now.
Semi-automatic firearms, such as the 1911A1 pistol use a spring to help absorb some of the recoil energy, and use the energy to reload the pistol.
No such thing. It is a typo. A 45 mm pistol would fire a bullet larger than a golf ball. I think you are looking for a .45 CALIBER pistol. That is a handgun that fires a bullet about 45/100ths of an inch in diameter. Perhaps the two best known are the 45 Colt Peacemaker type revolver of cowboy fame, and the 1911A1 .45 Automatic Pistol, used by the US Army.
