Proofhouse.com has sn tables.

Again I find nothing here about the Winchester Model 190. Yes, they have information on it but the site claims they were made from 1974 to 1980.

I'm afraid that that is incorrect and I'm positive I fired the rifle that I now own in the 60's. As a matter of fact some of my research shows many others owned this rifle as early as 1964. How can I be sure when I fired the rifle with my father? Well, I went into the Army in 1971 when I was 17 and at that time my father had the gun in storage. I was in my early teens or under 12 when I fired the 190, that I'm sure of.

I can even find any info on the 190 numbers there, just there dates of manufacture and that's off by a few years. So unless I'm doing something wrong or it was sold under a different model this seems to be endless searching. Maybe this sight is one of the best out there and can help many others but it hasn't solved or answered any of my questions at all.
