If it is in a little brown glass bottle then it is likely to be medicine of some description, and equally likely to be quite old. If you do not know what it is then don't inhale or swallow any of it! If you really want to identify it, I suggest you take it to a pharmacist, otherwise It would be wise to dispose of it.
