Geritol is a vitamin and mineral supplement produced by the pharmaceutical company, GlaxoSmithKline. It was originally manufactured by the J.B. Williams Co. which was founded in 1885 and was bought by Nabisco in the 1970s, who eventually sold it to GlaxoSmithKline.
Geritol has traditionally been marketed to the elderly (the name derives from "geriatric").
Geritol Complete is a multivitamin supplement containing iron and other essential nutrients, while Geritol Tonic is an iron supplement liquid that doesn't contain vitamins. Giving llamas geritol, a vitamin and mineral supplement designed for humans, is not recommended as it may not meet the specific nutritional needs of llamas. It's better to provide llamas with a balanced diet tailored to their unique requirements, which may include specialized supplements recommended by a veterinarian.
It MAY feel like an energy boost - IF you are fatigued with low-iron anemia or poor vitamin absorption. I'm a vegetarian and was just tested with low iron; after only a couple days taking Geritol tonic I seem to be more awake and alert. However if you have excess iron in your blood (women rarely do), I would avoid it as an energy booster.
Well stuff is starting to wear out. Your oxygen transfer from your lungs to your blood is probably not as effecient as it once was. You may be developing a deficiency of some sort in your blood that may need geritol or something like that to help you out. If this came on you pretty quickly you should see a doctor to make sure you haven't had something go wrong in there. Hang in there. You're not done yet.
It's probably the enzyme catalase. According to CBS news, when the body's production of catalase slows down, hydrogen peroxide in the body increases causing hair to lose it's color and turn to white. Attempts are being made to reverse this by adding catalase, or substances that make catalase, to reverse hair going white. If they can reverse it and turn white hair back to it's original color, then this could be very important as far as longevity is concerned. There have been many claims to the existence of a fountain of youth that will restore those who drink from it to their former 'glory'.There have however been no scientific proof of there being any waters around the world with such powers. No waters or fountains that have even come close to the description of taking years off your age.The story of the fountain of youth most probably has got multiple origins. This could be due to mans longing for eternal life, and stories of desert wanderers that found an oasis of 'life giving' water when they thought life was about to end. Creating stories from the desire of longer life is a viable simultaneous origin of multiple continents. Stories told by those that have been given life by finding an oasis in the desert, is the most likely origin of 'truth' that over time have been given more flesh to the bone. When we look at stories from various Indian cultures, we must also take into consideration their strong bond with the nature. They had holy spirits for many purposes that would explain nature. In particular the parts of nature they did not actually fully understand. A fountain of water where all other sources ran empty due to lack of rain could easily be described as a fountain of life. Knowledge of finding water when it was scarce and rare to come by was indeed life giving. People listening to stories told often forget that stories often are exaggerated. In the 16th century, the story went on about a fountain of youth in Florida, USA. Stories about Jesus healing people with life giving water is another source with biblical context. This would have taken part in or around Jerusalem. The popular magician David Copperfield recently bought a property in Bahamas, claiming that he found a true fountain of youth there. Over time, many people have claimed to have found the true source. None of these have ever been validated by science. There is however one place which have 'adopted' this name. The city of St. Augustine, Florida is home to the Fountain of Youth National Archaeological Park. There is however no proof of the water here to be more life giving than other nice clean fresh water found elsewhere.Ponce De Leon thought the Fountain of Youth was located in Florida.
