The past life has lower standards generally; while now there are higher standards in society. If we look into a more specific example such as education: in the the past men were mainly the only ones educated and women were not allowed into public or private schools. However, as time went on women worked their way into getting better educations and now most women go to public schools or private schools. Technology is another example of how the past and present life is different. In the past people would not have the ability to look up information as quickly as us now-a-days, because we have the internet and other resources which literally put information right at our hands anywhere.
