A stationery card is, to put in lack of a better term, an empty card. It has some type of design that is bland enough to be used in many different situations. Usually, if in a set combined with company letterhead, it is also made out of the weighted paper as the letterhead to add a more professional look to the card.

For personal use, they can add real meaning to the card you are sending. It shows the other person that you put a personal effort into the message you sent them. In my opinion, they are the best style card because there is more visual proof of someone's message than a cliche Hallmark card.
