A hood piercing is where you pierce the skin which is above (& slightly covering) the clitoris. There are vertical as well as horizontal options.
It's a female genital piercing through the clitoral hood surrounding the clitoris. There are two main types of hood piercing, the vertical clitoral hood piercing and the horizontal clitoral hood piercing. As the name indicates, the difference is in the direction the piercing is oriented in the skin above the clitoris. Neither of these piercings penetrates the clitoris itself.

Well that's for the piercer to determine during your appointment. the hood needs to be measures and the jewellery is selected at that time.
Usually 72 hours. As long as the piercing is rinsed and washed after your swim it should be fine. NO friends hot tubs of at least a week (7days).

Piercing your hood, or clitoral hood piercing, involves using a sterilized needle to create a hole through the tissue. The procedure is typically quick, and while pain levels vary from person to person, many report it as a sharp but brief discomfort. Proper aftercare is essential to minimize pain and prevent infection. It's advisable to consult a professional piercer to discuss any concerns and ensure a safe experience.
No. Although this is more overly an antibiotic, this is not an appropriate solution to be using on any piercing, let alone one in such a sensitive location. It's not its intended use, and it's just way to heavy duty for aftercare.
If you shower daily and clean the piercing then you should be just fine. Keeping the piercing clean is important so if need be shower twice a day if you want to be on the safe side. Exotics heal very quickly (light heal in about 7 days) due to the increased circulation in mucous tissue, this allows the piercing to afford a light heal quite quickly. Showering will not harm the piercing and will actually promote the healing.
