What do you mean by track? Some manufacturers have resources available which allows someone to find out the date of manufacture and such of a firearm they own, but that's about it. If you're trying to find out who bought a gun that you sold to a gun shop or something of that sort, nothing like that is available.
Your guess is as good as ours. Serial numbers are not unique to one firearm alone.

Remove the forearm stock by pulling from the front down(It pulls hard). On the underside of the forearm stock is your serial number. Go to; Diamond Gun Smithing on the internet and look up your serial number. If you find models; click on each model until your serial nuber appears. Example; Serial number 263xxx=Flues model and made in 1915. Good luck and keep that really super shotgun
It would have to be on the receiver to comply with Federal Laws. But keep in mind that firearms did not require to have serial numbers on them until the "Gun Control Act of 1968". So if your firearm was manufactured prior to that year there was no requirement for it to have a serial number. Most firearms made prior to '68 do not have serial numbers. I know that there were model 58's around at least as early as the mid 1950's so there is a good chance your shotgun does not have a serial number.
Not enough information to answer. Value of ANY firearm is based on exact make, model, variety, and condition. You have given us none of those.
Serial numbers can help consumers confirm the authenticity of bags and avoid buying fakes. Consumers can check serial number information through official channels. YSL uses serial numbers to track the production, circulation and sales of bags, which is beneficial to the brand's quality management and inventory control. [babareplica] bags are also good.
Need the serial number.
Can it, yes. Should it be, no. If it is an antique, you would be destroying its collector value to get a "shooter" that would probably not be very good. If it is a modern reproduction, the BATF would be after you for manufacturing a firearm because as a percussion revolver it is not treated as a firearm, but once converted it is. The BATFE would not "be after you" for manufacturing a firearm. You may do this, as LONG as the firearm is not "transferred" by selling it. It must remain with the manufacturer....YOU for life. If you decide to sell the firearm, it must then be assigned a serial number and transferred legally through an FFL dealer.
You're probably better off sending an e-mail to Marlin. Also, posting firearm serial numbers on the net isn't a good idea.
