very good question. new york arms co. is nowhere to be found. have very old 12 gauge single barrel shotgun stamped "GENUINE ARMORY STEEL" and "CHOKE BORED" "NEW YORK ARMS CO." New York Arms Co was a trade name manufactured by Crescent Firearms. Genuine Armory Steel - Choke Bored is also a Crescent marking. They also used the name Armory Gun Co.
when was the carolina arms 16 gauge single barrel shotgun made
Are you sure it doesn't say Genuine Armory Steel? That would make it a product of Crescent Fire Arms. There should be more markings if they haven't worn off.
To determine the age of a Genuine Armory steel choke bored 12-gauge double barrel shotgun with the serial number 178519, you would typically need to consult manufacturer records or reference books that detail production years based on serial numbers. Many shotguns, especially those from notable manufacturers, have identifiable production dates associated with their serial numbers. If you can provide the manufacturer's name, I might be able to assist further or guide you on where to look for more specific information.
