The EOCT only counts as 15% of your grade, so technically you can fail the EOCT and still pass a course. If you have a pretty good course average and you fail the EOCT, then you should still pass the class.

Yes, but only if summer school will give you the credits you need to go on to the next grade. Most likely if only the first quarter was successfully completed, summer school won't be enough to give you the qualifying credits to advance to the next grade. If it causes you to be so behind that even the credits earned in summer school won't get you to the next grade you'll just fail and have to do that whole grade over. Every school is different but no matter the school you still have to have a certain amount of credits to proceed to the higher grade level. That goes for every school.

When you are in junior and senior school, it is less important as being in university. But it does expand intelligence and is good practice for university and future jobs. Of course it is important it counts 20% of your grade if you don't do homework it lowers your grade to an 80%. If you have bad test scores too than you probably fail the class. This only happens in private and public schools
