If the battery is charged, there may be a bad contact, or a shorted switch in the handset.

Checking phone battery and power connections:

1. Open the battery pack
2. Remove battery (do not cross terminals)
3. Wash battery sensors with a q-tip using rubbing alcohol
4. Let sensors dry at least 5 minutes
5. Replace battery
6. If still no power, try a different battery or have phone serviced

Wait a few minutes while recharging the battery...the Droid will not turn on if the battery charge is too low.
