It sounds like fluid retention. One way of finding out is to press your finger into the skin at the ankle and if the spot you press stays white for longer than 3 seconds you have a problem with fluid. Stay away from all salt (sodium). This includes soda and especially Diet Soda, it is loaded with sodium. Drink lots of water to flush out the salt. you could have a circulation problem.
