What is the weight of a pair of Levis 501?

I don't think there is a standard weight, but it usually varies between 12-14 ounces, depending on the wash, color or specific style. Regrettably, most newer 501's are closer to 12 ounces, while older pairs were typically 14-15 ounces. Specific weights are often given on the Levi's website for their products, but this information can also be found elsewhere online.

A black body at 7500 K consists of an opening of diameter 0.0500 mm looking into an oven Find the number of photons per second escaping the hole and having wavelengths between 500 nm and 501 nm?

The cross-sectional area of the aperture is pi*(0.025) squared measured in square mm. As far as the rest of the world is concerned, this is THE BLACK BODY RADIATOR, one bright spot of this area radiating heat. The size, volume etc of the oven behind it is irrelevant. The total power radiated by this surface, or the number of protons per second for a given is simply Intensity into area. What is intensity ? It is Rho multiplied by velocity of light, therefore the total Power radiated per unit wavelength is given by (rho into Area into velocity of light). Rho we get from Plancks Equation . The symbol ρ stands for Energy Density, the letter t means that the equation and its curve is valid for one particular temperature T, the symbol λ stands for the fact that this Energy Density is computed per unit wave length.Rho is given by the equation provided with the problem for Planck's LawBut we need the power radiated not just per unit wavelength but over a range corresponding to wavelengths 500 nm and 501nm. We actually must integrate the curve above after multiplying by d λ between the wavelength limits 500 and 501 nm to get the total power transmitted over the band. However, when the limits are so close to one another we can assume that the energy density does not change much or if at all, changes linearly within this range. It would, therefore be better for us to use the average value (500+501)/2 nm as the value for λ. For d λ we simply use Δ λ or (501-500)=1nm.Let us review our approach once again. Multiplying ρ x c gives us Intensity I. Multiplying I x A gives us power per unit wavelength. Multiplying this with Δ λ gives us power transmitted over our range of interest. ρ has the units Joules/metre3 per metre. Multiplying this by c which has units of velocity m/s gives us Joules per second per metre2 per metre which is the same as Watts per metre2 per metre or Intensity per Unit wavelength.. Multiplying by area gives us Joules per second per meter. This is Energy per second per unit wavelength. Multiplying this by Delta-Lanbda or range of wavelengths will give us Energy per second or Joules/s.This gives us the energy per second transmitted over this range of frequencies .Plancks hypothesisstates that energy comes in chunks called photons, and the energy contained in each photon is hf, where h is Plancks Constant, so we get the number of photons by dividing the Energy per Second by hf. (we are of course assuming that there won't be much of change of energy per photon over this small interval) otherwise we would have had to integrate. We get 1.3*10^15 as the No. of electrons per second
