As more sugar plantations were created, farmers needed more workers so they needed more slaves. Slave owners also never felt like they had enough slaves, in other words they were very greedy, this caused more slaves being transpoted in the middle passage, the trade route from Europe to Africa, then the "middle" Africa to America. This was called the trianglular trade route.

One negative thing about the Textile Mills was that they had slaves work the machines so it increased the amount of slaves America had, which I think is terrible.

The African slaves being transported during the 1700s were given food and drink at the whims of the slave traders and captains. They were often left below deck with no food or drink for days at a time.
Yes, but no. People didn't trade slaves, they bought them. The slaves also got shipped around from time to time, but I wouldn't call that slave trade.
