The answer depends on the brand of pill you're taking. If it's Ortho Tricyclen or Ortho Tricyclen Lo, you should start with the white pill. If you're taking another brand, ask your halth care provider or pharmacist.
The white pills come first when taking Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo.
Hi, Below is information for you relating to ortho cyclen. Ortho Cyclen ethinyl estradiol and norgestimate (ETH in ill ess tra DYE ole and nor jess TI mate) Ortho Cyclen, Ortho Tri-Cyclen, Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo What is the most important information I should know about Ortho Cyclen?
I have been taking the same pills as you and just stopped taking it mid month. may not have been the brightest idea because now my body is going through changes that Im not to sure are pregnancy related. Once you take your last pill before your sugar pills that would be the best time to stop.
Tri-cyclen Lo and Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo are the same pill.
Yes, you can skip the sugar pills on Tricyclen Lo if you like. Usually the triphasic pills -- the ones with three colors of active pills denoting three levels of hormones -- aren't the ideal ones to use to skip periods; you may be more likely to have unscheduled bleeding than if you used a different pill. If you have that problem, and want to skip often, consider calling your health care provider to discuss a possible pill change to a monophasic pill.
Ask your doctor because any birth control that has the word 'tri' in it usually has different doses every week and my understanding is that they are not good for skipping the reminder/sugar pills.
Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo is a low dose combination hormone. It contains estrogen (ethinyl estradiol and progestin (norgestimate).
