ERA shotgunsA line of shotguns made in Brazil by E. R. Armentina. These guns were or still are made for the shotgun manufacturer Stoeger who is now owned by Benelli.
There won't be much information available. All the Kresge stores became KMarts about 1976 and I doubt if they sold any firearms before 1950 (everything in the store sold for $1.00 or less in the 1940s). The manufacturer, ERA, only gets one line in the Blue Book: "Previous manufacturer located in Brazil." The company made basic single shot, side by side doubles, and superimposed double barrel shotguns of the quality you would expect to buy from a Five and Dime store.
Nikko shotguns are made by the Japanese gun manufacturer Nikko Arms Co., Ltd. They are manufactured in Japan.
I have a Model 151 in 20ga imported by Spesco. It was Brazilian made. It was purchased in 1960's. Not sure if all were made there or not.
Unfortunately, other companies made guns for Kresge under the Kresge name. With a model number we MAY be able to match it to the original maker, but they may be out of production now.
Stevens was one manufacturer; Winchester, High Standard, Mossberg, Savage, and to many to list were others.
Or Brazil and ERA? Inexpensive firearm (what would you expect from Kresge) imported back when Kresge was still in business. Probably not worth over $50 if it is a single shot.
No one made OLD ones, but almost every firearms manufacturer made NEW ones a long time ago. If you have a trade name marked on the gun, we may be able to provide a manufacturer's name and approximate age.
No. Remington shotguns are made in the USA.
Probably Crescent. They made shotguns known as "hardware store" guns for many businesses, marking them with the name of the store- such as Shapleigh Hardware.
Barton & co shotguns were made in Liege, Belgium.
