practical gender needs or PGN are those needs that affect the flow of power, they dont challenge the subordinate position of women nor the dividion of laborpower where as strateglv gender needs or SGN do challenge the division of labor power and control. PGN seeks to meet the inadequacies found in the social roles of women. it seeks an immediate respond to necessities for example; employment, provision and so on whereas SGN seeks equal treatment f both male and female gender for example; equal wage, equal distribution of power, legal rights and so on
