This is a bolt action rifle, meaning you need to pull the bolt back for every shot. The bolt handle should be on the right side of the gun, push it up until it wont go any higher and then pull it back towards you until it wont go any further (note: the bolt pull on this gun is kind of stiff). Then simply push the bolt back forward to it's original position and push it down again. Check to make sure the safety is not on and pull the trigger.
You need a gunsmith for a correct diagnosis
Nope.. close but wont fit..
Try a thorough cleaning, change magazines, change ammunition. The marlin 989 was made in the 60's the bolt does not open when the last shot is fired
4 of the lugs will but the 5th one wont go
yes but unless your tranny has the bop bolt pattern they wont mate easy to check just look at them also your exhaust will be slightly diffrent if you have ehaders it will probably bolt up but manifolds warp making it very hard to bolt back up
4 of the lugs will but the 5th one wont go
you will have to dig it out and put it back in the ground check for broken pipes and is at all possible install a hydrostatic valve so it wont happen again
They wont be cheap that's for sure!
