Unang una hindi lahat ng babae same ang menstrual cycle nila, myrong regular at my roong ding irregular. In general the normal cycle is up to 28 to 35 days only and the other hand minsan dinadatnan na sila buwan na bago magkaroon. Pangalawa, hindi same ang ovulation ng mga babae minsan nag oovulate ang babae before or after ng menstration nila and most of the time dito nagkakamali ng tantsa. here's some example kung ikaw nakipag talik sa GF/BF mo.
1. know her/your cycle kung reg. or irreg.
2. let say your 1st day of mens. was july 07 2012 (unang araw sa unang regla)
3. count 14 days or what we call THE MAGIC NO. and you can't forget about this 14 kasi ( Feb. 14 is Valentines day) from your 1st day of mens. that was july 07 2012.
4. 07, 08, 09, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 ( 14 days right?)
5. let say you have sex w/ your GF/BF in the 12 date (6 days from the 1st day of mens.)
6. so count also 7 days. why 7 days? bec. it is the duration that sperm cells can wait for the new egg to ovulate
7. sperm cells can stay for 72 hrs or more than 72 hrs (3 to 5 days or even 7 days) so not exactly 7 days but to be sure ill make it 7 days ^^
8. count from the 12 date up to 7 days
9. 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20
10. it is between the 18 and 19 date so it means its SAFE:buttrock: why safe? bec. date 20 is the ovulation day and yet the sperm can only stay for 7 days.

All women ovulate exactly 2 weeks before their period begins. That is 14 days. A 23 day cycle-14 days back to your ovulation=9. The 9th day of your cycle would have been when you ovulated, and unless you have a 2-4 day period then it wouldn't be most likely to get pregnant 7 days after your period.

As long as you have no other health issues, it is safe to have sex at any time during your cycle.
