The lightening model is essentially the same as the regular superposed, with several weight saving modifications. These include slimmer forearm, lighter barrels, and small internal changes to the receiver. All in all, the weight savings are about a 1/2 pound. -jimmy
Are we talking a citori,or a superposed? this is needed to get a accurate value. Also include the grade of your shotgun if it is a superposed.
Yes, cordy barrels were made in Belgium, under contract to Simmons Specialties, and the Browning Superposed Book has a chapter on these Yes, cordy barrels were made in Belgium, under contract to Simmons Specialties, and the Browning Superposed Book has a chapter on these
No
Watertable, forearm metal, and barrels
Take the forearm off, it's usually on the bottom of the barrels.
There is a takedown latch (lever) under the forearm. Pull it down, then remove the forearm from the barrels by pivoting away. Carefully slide the lever on top to release the barrels in the usual manner of breaking the barrels open. The barrels can then be lifted off the lug from the frame as you break the action open.
Superposed
Pull on the front of the forearm it will come apart from the barrels......then break open the shotgun (like you were going to load it and the barrels will come apart from the reciever.
s designates 12ga., 5 is 1965, 35371 is the serial #. Different grades of engraving and finish makes a value imposible to guess at without more info.
This is a double barrel, over/under shotgun.
I'll answer my own question. You pull on the front of the forearm and it should detach from the barrels allowing barrel removal. Mine was seriously stuck. Its off now.
