Book by Charles McHardy - Bring down a dove.
The sailors family is the house right above where the sailor is standing.
Two inventions that aided in early exploration were the compass, which allowed sailors to navigate based on the Earth's magnetic field, and the astrolabe, which helped sailors determine their latitude by measuring the angle of celestial bodies above the horizon.
The colomber is fish that better yet shark that all sailors fear above all. it will follow you untill it has devoured you aswell.
Sailors used an astrolabe to measure the angle of the sun or a star above the horizon. By knowing this angle and the current date, they could calculate their latitude at sea. This helped them navigate and determine their position on the open ocean.
The sun on the horizon is significant for navigation at sea because it helps sailors determine their position and direction. By measuring the angle of the sun above the horizon, sailors can calculate their latitude and approximate time of day, which are crucial for plotting their course and avoiding getting lost at sea.
I use Gillette it good Wilkinson sword disposible pink and purple, they last quite a while, aren't that expensive and there is a gel like thing above the blade which makes a smoother shave. Hope this helped!!
During the Renaissance the printing press is one, then there is the astrolabe, which is a tool that measures the height of the sun or a star above the horizon and last but not least there is the compass from China. Hope this helps!
The Earth is a sphere (well, an oblate spheroid, but close enough). The visible part of the Earth drops away at the horizon, and you can't see any farther. The distance to the horizon increases as your elevation increases; sailors have known this forever. So lighthouses, beacons to be seen by sailors at night and in bad weather, are elevated high above the ocean so that they are visible for many miles out to sea. Optimally, the tower of the lighthouse is located on a peak or hillside along the shore, to get even higher above sea level.
The astrolabe was important for early exploration because it allowed sailors to determine their latitude by measuring the angle of celestial bodies, primarily the sun or stars, above the horizon. This helped them navigate more accurately and chart their course at sea.
By navigation using the stars. Sailors measured the position of the stars above the horizon using a sextant, from a table of known postions of the stars. This method also requires that you know the time of day, which is taken from a known point at Greenwich in England (Greenwich Mean Time GMT). Every place on earth takes its time from being plus or minus so many hours from GMT.
North Vietnamese fighting men (Airmen, Soldiers, and Sailors) probably were promised a North Vietnamese victory. South Vietnamese fighting men (Airmen, Marines, Soldiers, and Sailors) were probably promised the US would always be there when they were needed. US, Australian, New Zealand, Philippine, South Korean, and Thai fighting men (Soldiers, Marines, Airmen, and Sailors) were told all they had to do was one tour (12 months) then they could go home; and that's about all these men wanted...was to go home. All of the above military men received a pay-check (or were supposed to anyway).
