I suggest getting a group of friends to hang out at the mall, or at the movies, whatever. Then, once you've hung out away from school a few times, get a little closer to her. If she says something that seems to lack confidence or someone's mean to her, put you arm around her, or pat her on the back. Adding a little physical contact will let her know that you really care. After that, I would just suggest asking her out. She's not psychic.
**You must go through these slowly, so that she warms up to the idea and gets used to being around you. If you don't, it could (potentially) become awkward. I think it should take at least a few weeks.
