Surgical Steel is fine for surgery. It contains Nickel. Many people are allergic to nickel. Still, for as short a period of time as it will be used, it should not cause any problems. People are not allergic to Titanium. It is safer to leave in your body.

What would be the same quality as titanium for a naval piercing?

What grade of titanium, there are several grades some are toxic to the body. You need to know much more than just what it is. Grade 23 Titanium is the best surgical grade out there, then there are the steel grades. 316LVM or British Composition D surgical stainless steel is the next best material. Then you have Bio-plastic or PTFE as options instead of steel or titanium.

Belly button piercing?

A belly button piercing,or naval piercing,is basically a piercing on the belly button. It can take about 4 to 6 months to heal after getting pierced. The legal age to get one depends on what state you live in. Most naval piercings are done in tattoo parlors or places that specialize in body piercings.

Which piercing would you look the best with?

Personally I think lip piercings and eye brow piercings are gross. I want nose piercing, cartilage (which is the upper part of your ear) and double pircing on my ear lobe. I think they look the best. Tongue piercings are also ok but I would never get one. Also naval (belly button) piercings look nice I think, especially if you u were bikinis or half shirts and are skinny.

How much of a scar will a rejected naval piercing leave?

I have two rejected naval piercings from an industrial-length bar that i had through the top and bottom of my naval. At first, the scarring was pretty gross and obvious but after a few months it went down significantly. The only scarring leftover now after 6 months can be felt if you pinch the skin where the holes are.

Titanium is known for its resistance to corrosion in seawater due to the formation of a protective oxide layer on its surface. This makes it a popular choice for applications exposed to marine environments, such as naval ships and offshore structures.

Can you change your belly button ring after 2 weeks if my piercer said it was ok?

I just got a naval piercings a little over a week ago and my piercer - a very trusted and professional man with many piercings himself - gave me firm instructions to NOT twist or remove my naval piercings until it is healed. If you remove it, you're likely to get an infection. It takes 3 - 6 months for a naval piercing to heal, so save yourself the pain and leave the ring alone. --Just to add more to the previous answer, if your current bar is too long once the swelling goes down, you can go to your piercer for them to put in a shorter bar. Even if it hasn't been 3-6 months. Just don't change it yourself till its completely healed
