Of course it is normal! It's suppose to happen every month with or without pills. It's a natural women body function.
I'm not a doctor, but I know that menstrual patterns don't always stick to patterns. They can change frequently. You could go a year not on your period, but that doesn't mean you're unhealthy.
I know this myself. I didn't have mine for a year and two months, the doctor told me from all the stress that I've been through, it caused my body to stop functioning properly.
All and all, periods change a lot, especially when you're young.
If there's any certain questions you need to ask, there's doctors out there. Don't be afraid.
