I have cleaned my mouth as directed, so what gives?
The white stuff that sometimes comes out of fresh tongue piercings is called lymph -- it consists of white blood cells that your body uses to try and patch up the hole that was just created in your body. This "phase" of tongue piercings does not usually last long. To remove it, simply brush GENTLY around the barbell with a soft bristled toothbrush.
if it is seeping a lot of white pus then that's not normal but if it is only a little bit then it is okay. You might have white/yellow fluids draining from your piercing and probably forming a crust. That's perfectly fine but pus is not.
That is the normal discharge that occurs from tongue piercing, just like ear piercing discharges after they have been pierced and are healing the tongue does the same sort of thing. That will disappear is a couple of days, just be sure you are rinsing and keeping cold stuff on the piercing as often as possible.
That is lymphatic discharge and is normal in any new piercing, this will ease off as the piercing heals and toughens.
This sounds like normal, perfectly healthy pus. It is fine as long as it says white or clear and has no smell.
It is like some kind of tissue coming out, you need to put some rubbing alcohol on it.
That is a body modification that is done by a highly experienced professional body piercer and is not something anyone should attempt who has little if any knowledge about the human anatomy or body piercing. Leave that to the professionals, you can do permanent damage by messing around with pearling.
It is not infected, these are signs of normal healing, the discharge is also normal the itching should ease in a few days. Now should the itching continue, flush the piercing with warm water only (do not use any aftercare solutions or creams on the piercing what so ever) just flush the piercing with water and the itching should ease off. If it does ease off then quit using the aftercare solution or cream on the piercing, just irrigate the piercing under running water daily and it will heal up fine. You could be reacting to the cleaning product, if that is the case quit using the product and follow the above steps.
Normal houses and flats and stuff, maybe just a little more Dark or Gothic than us normal humans houses though.
If its a really light whitish/yellow, its normal. If its darker or has a green tint to it, its possibly infected. Other signs of infection are discoloration around the piercing, swelling, tenderness, and itchiness. If its a new piercing, these symptoms are normal. They become problematic when they last longer than 2 weeks. If you're playing with it or aggravating it while you eat, it might take longer to heal and be angrier longer. If you think its infected, go see your piercer to have them confirm or deny your suspicion. Then, if it is infected, go see a doctor. Hope this helps! :)
Swelling and discharge from piercings is normal in the first few days post piercing. Swelling can last any where from a week to 3 weeks depending on the piercing. Controlling the swelling and maintaining good post piercing care is critical. Discharge of whitish yellow material from the piercing is normal and this too will ease off as the piercing heals. Again keeping the piercing health clean and happy is very important.Washing the piercing daily in the shower and rinsing with lots of warm running water is important to flush matter out of the piercing and allowing the piercing to breath.Staying on cold stuff for oral piercings is important and the addition of Ibuprofen , Advil or even Chamomile tea ice cubes helps to keep the swelling down.Oral piercings and the swelling related to them can last any where up to 2 or 3 weeks, this swelling will go down day by day and maintaining a clean environment for the piercing is important.Should you experience more swelling, redness and the discharge of green puss with pain and warmth to the touch your piercing is infected and must be treated as soon as possible. See your professional body piercer for assistance as soon as possible.
Mostly school lunch, gum, a little marijuana you know the normal stuff
Brains, dead brain cells............ OK I digress. It's lymphatic matter, it's the tongues equivalent to a discharge that would occur with any outside piercing (whitish yellow discharge) it's normal and will ease off as the piercing heals and toughens up.
