Fresh tongue piercings can produce a white, thick, and sometimes gooey substance. This is called lymph. It is actually white blood cells trying to patch the hole that was just created in your body. It is your body's natural defense mechanism and is normal.

If the discharge turns yellow or green and smells bad, and is accompanied by severe redness and/or severe swelling, see a doctor because infection is possible.

What you think is pus is probably the scab you get. It is a white circle formed around the pierced area. It's totaly normal. DON'T REMOVE IT!
