.44 Mag is a cartridge and Desert Eagle is a pistol. Therefore they cannot be compared.
The Desert Eagle comes in various calibers including .44 Magnum. The .50 AE is the bigger cartridge often used in the Desert Eagle, and almost always in movies. I will go out on a limb and assume that you mean this.
The .50 AE is a bigger and more powerful cartridge than the .44 Magnum.
The answer, in literal terms, would be "which revolver?" As a practical matter, revolvers tend to be stronger than automatics, and for a variety of reasons. Automatics are very complex mechanisms, and every part must be strong enough to "take the abuse" of firing whatever round it is chambered for. Revolvers are rather simple, by comparison, and after the hammer drops on the primer, there are no moving parts until the bullet is fired and gone, and pressures have dropped away. Now, having said that, let me point out that the Desert Eagle can certainly handle much more pressure than many revolvers. For example, their are a bunch of single-action revolvers that can't handle .44 Mag, or even high-pressure .45 Colt (often called .45 Long Colt now, to differentiate it from the .45 ACP.) Certainly, most .38 Special revolvers cannot handle .357 Mag. The Desert Eagle is offered in both .44 Mag and .357 Mag. But considering the revolvers that are made for higher pressures than .44 Mag, there is really no comparison. A beefy revolver can be made to handle much more power than a Desert Eagle.
Yes
Desert eagle 357 mag.
No. While Dan Wesson DID make a .44 Magnum revolver, it was not known as a Desert Eagle. IMI made a .44 magnum Desert Eagle Auto pistol, but not a revolver.
Coonan Arms
$1200 - $1400.
Yes.
Its suggested retail price is $1560. However, some stores have it at under $1300.
No. Other pistols chambered for the .50 Action Express cartridge as used by the Desert Eagle include the AMT AutoMag V, Freedom Arms 555, Magnum Research BFR, and LAR Grizzly Win Mag.
Depends on which 50 cal you are referring to. -Im talking about handguns the desert eagle to be exact. I know a Barret .50cal is more powerfull than any .44mag because it is a rifle.
The H&K USP would be better. It was designed as a combat handgun. The Desert Eagle was designed as a hunting handgun, and cannot maintain reliability in harsh conditions, it must be kept clean. The Desert Eagle also is picky about what type of bullets you can use in it. JSP, and JHP are what it is recommended to be used with, as LRN and FMJ causes fouling .
The Desert Eagle fires cartridges intended for revolvers.. it's not like the Auto Mag, where a special rimless version of the .44 Magnum was made exclusively for that pistol. With the Desert Eagles, the recoil is comparable... although you have a lot of weight to reduce the recoil, you also have a very heavy slide cycling as the pistol is fired.
