Ah, preteen years....
It's more then likely that even if he did, he wouldn't tell your friend
so, no its not always true.
my advice it to try to become good friends with him if your not already, and get to where you can talk to him as you would talk to one of your other friends. At that time, make sure that you present yourself as available. If he still doesn't feel comfortable enough to bring it up himself, bring the topic up yourself. OR what i always used, and I've seen my son and daughter both use is to make an attempt to hold their hand. This is usually a very good indicator because it is usually the first visual and physical confirmation that one will get of an attraction. Follow up the first hand touch with with a smile, a look into his eyes, and a few seconds of silence. If all goes well, you've got yourself a boyfirend!
