If you missed your last active pill but you took it around 24 hours late and you continue to take your off-week pills and then start your next pack as usual next Sunday will you be protected?

You should be. Missing a pill and taking it the next day should be ok. Add to that the fact you are about to start your no-hormone week and you should be fine.
The pill packages have detailed instructions on what to do if you miss a pill and how many you can safely miss and whatnot. It is well worth the time to read it so you can be better prepared in the future.
