If you miss approx. 3 active pills then you will start your period, but as long as you catch up (on your pills) your period should come as scheduled. If you just miss your last active pill then the next pill is your sugar pill, you should just take them both as soon as you remember. If you've already taken them (2 pills at once) your period should be on schedule still. Call your doctor, pharmacy, or hospital to be sure. I'm pretty sure it won't mess up your period, and I'm almost positive that this accident won't increase your chances of pregnancy (as long as you took both pills as soon as you remembered and it was only 2 pills).
Since there is no active medication in the sugar pill, eating it or not eating it has no effect on your period.
Missing a sugar pill would make no difference at all so there must be another reason. Hello. Because you missed one sugar pill this caused you to start your period a day early. sugar pills have no active ingredients. they are just simply what they say they are. i go with the first answer. there isn't any difference to whether you take them or not. they are just there to keep you from forgetting the active pills. i never take the sugar pills. not sure y it would start early though.
In some birth control brands, the green pills are active pills and should not be skipped. In other brands, the green pills are placebos (sugar pills or reminder pills) and can be skipped. Talk to your pharmacist or health care provider to get information specific to your brand of birth control pills. If you skip active pills, your period will be early and you increase the risk of pregnancy. If you skip placebo pills, your period will be delayed.
Yes, many women stop menstruating while taking BC pills.
After taking your three weeks of active pills, just skip the sugar pills in the last row and go directly into a new pack. You take 6 rows of active pills (all the active pills from 2 packs) and skip the period you would have gotten on the sugar pills
If you just got them then i would wait until sunday or the day after you stop your period and you will start with pill number 1 then go to the sugar pills which you take while you are on your period!
Since birth control pills arent 100% effective, no matter what there is always a chance of pregnancy. If you have been on the pill for a while, then took the pill after you missed it you should be fine but you should go to the doctor and get a blood test to check your hormone levels for pregnancy just in case.
I usually don't get my period till the second or third sugar pill. It's normal.
Sometimes skipping the sugar pills can result in a earlier period which could be why you're cramping. After your period arrives the cramping should receed. Meanwhile don't miss anymore pills.
Yes you can by skipping the sugar pills and sarting the "active pills".
Yes, you can still have a period even if you skip the sugar pills in your birth control pack. This bleeding is not a true menstrual period but rather withdrawal bleeding due to the hormonal changes from stopping active pills.
this is bad, you should definitely ask your local pharmacist or family doctor. you are supposed to get your period when you stop taking the pills for 7 days or take your sugar pills.
