Well heck yeah. It's a personal question. You shouldn't go around asking girls that, especially if you know they'll feel uncomfortable. If you were friends before, the air between you two will be awkward. If you were classmates, then well, the air will still be kind of awkward unless you have a weird reputation for asking things like that. I mean, think of it from her point of view.

However, there's always a chance that she genuinely hates you. I mean, you can't judge. If you ask a girl if she likes you and she replies no, she might sincerely mean it. Read her body language and try to find out if she's telling the truth. The best way to do this would be through a face-to-face confrontation in PRIVACY. Peoples' expressions, emotions, and reactions change completely based on environment.

Also, don't go blabbing around her answers. You'll crush the trust between yourself and her.

STEP ONE.

check she is avalible + that none of your frends liked her before you cause that's pratically stealing theyr crush. and DONT NEVER! play hard to get.

STEP 2.

be nice! ok, girls hate it when boys act like twa*s! it annoys us like hell. be nice to her and flatter her

STEP 3.

be nice to her friends. your friends are basically in control of your life, if all her friends hate you, they will say stuff like "don't go out with HIM!" but if you are nice to them then they will encourage him/her to go out with you.

STEP 4.

look nice, don't look like your copletley changing though cause she might hae liked you before. if you make an effort though, that will show you care :)

STEP 5.

ask her/him out. take the risk. obviously don't do it in front of everyone 'cause that might be embarrasing for both of you.

STEP 6.

is he/she says no just keep on trying [i].

P.S. it might mean yes or no mate, im a girl and id say no if i got asked in front of everyone, just do it privatley so you and/or her get embarrassed. [k]
