The Model C was a single shot, bolt action rifle, made from 1931-1932. It was blued, round bolt knob, one piece walnut stock. forearm grooved for finger grip. Open barrel mounted rear sight, bead front sight. Value? Depends on condition, and whether buyer is a Mossberg collector.
the western field model 822 was made by mossberg, and the matching model number from mossberg would be a model 640K.
The model was designed in 1971 by Mossberg for Montgomery Wards. This model was manufactured between the years of 1972 and 1973. It may have been available for purchase in the following years as it was contracted by Montgomery Wards and they would have purchase many of them from Mossberg to fulfill the contract. Later, the model was sold from 1974-1979 as the Mossberg 472. jsm
Your revelation model 220b was actuaaly made by mossberg. The mossberg model designation for this firearm is the mossberg model 800B.The mossberg model 800 was made in 1967,the model 800VT was made in 1968,and the model 800D was made from 1970-1973.I would say that your rifle was made in 1967-1968.
There is a Mossberg 46B, and a 46B(b), but no B46B. The 46B is a bolt action .22 Target rifle, made 1938-1946, the 46B(b) was a later model, made 1947-49. I have a few of these- they are excellent target rifles. There IS a Mossberg Collector's Society, and a good history book of Mossberg guns (More Gun for the Money). Some info on different Mossberg 22's can be found by running a Google search for epix mossberg models.
Depends on how you define accuracy. Mossberg makes a durable, workmanlike hunting rifle. While it would not be my first choice for a 900 meter target rifle, in a hunting situation, it is probably more accurate than the average shooter.
Savage/Stevens, Marlin and Mossberg all made guns under the Western Auto Brand name. Colt even made a revolver under Western Auto, the model 880A-ECH. Since you specified hi power bolt action rifle, without more information I would guess the Savage model 340 or possibly the Savage 110. I am also fairly certain that there was a Mossberg center fire bolt action rifle made branded under Western Auto. Plus there are others. If you have the model number off of the barrel of your rifle it will help identify exactly which rifle you have.
Revelation was a brand name used by Western Auto hardware stores for guns sold by them, but made by others. If yours is a single shot .22 bolt action rifle, whose safety goes on when you open the bolt, your rifle is a Mossberg Model 320B (Known as the Boy Scout model) The best source for Mossberg parts is Havlin Sales. Add dot com, and you have their address. Mr. and Mrs. Havlin are very nice people, and run the Mossberg Collectors Association. It would have helped to know what part you are looking for.
Western Field was a store name used by Montgomery Wards. The M865 was most likely manufactured by Mossberg and relabeled from the Mossberg Model 402. The rifle was a lever action chambered in 22 short, long and long rifle. It was made 1961 to 1971 and value would be somewhere between $85 and $250 depending on condition.
The westernfield model 850 was made by mossberg for Montgomery wards. The mossberg model number was mossberg model 353.I would start with mossberg and go from there.
would like the retial value of a new Mossberg model 860
SAVAGE 620-620A model the savage model 620 is a shotgun. numerichs or the blue book (which) have it wrong. the action on mine looks to be either savage or mossberg, probably pre war. i would start by referencing drawing and photos of both makes I recently picked up a Western Field Model 31 from Auction. It is the same as a Mossberg Model R. It was the last of the letter designations given to a .22 rimfire by Mossberg. Production dates fell into the 1930-1932 range. Mossberg began number designations for their .22s in 1933.
A Western field model 36B was made by mossberg. The mossberg firm actually made 2 models that was designated western field model 36B.One was the mossberg model 25A,and the other was the mossberg model 10.These are the models that you would at for parts to your westernfield model 36B.I would start my search at Numrich gun parts corp. They may be found on the web.
