It depends.
How do you feel about her? You should tell the truth. If you like her, then tell her you like her. If you love her, then tell her that. If you just think of her as a really good friend, then be honest. You don't want her to start thinking that you are "in love" with her when you really aren't because it will be even harder to tell her later on. If you do love her, then tell her. Why wouldn't you?
