No; a light or ultra light cigarette is not any safer than a regular cigarette. Studies have found that smokers will compensate for the type of cigarette (i.e., inhaling longer on a light or ultra light cigarette) ultimately receiving the same amount of nicotine.
5 to 9 prcent
0.5 mg of Nicotine & 6 mg of Tar per cig for Marlboro Lights Ultra Lights have 0.5 mg & 5mg respectively There are approximately 0.5 milligrams of nicotine in each Marlboro Light cigarette. Each cigarette also contains about 6 milligrams of tar. However, it is difficult to accurately measure how much nicotine and tar an individual smoker will inhale.
Cigarettes that are marked ultra light have the least amount of nicotine in them. Quest is said to have the smallest traces of nicotine.
Tiny holes are poked into the filter to draw in more air when the cigarette is smoked. New research has indicated that "light" and "ultra light" cigarettes are no more safe than "full flavor" cigarettes, since smokers will block the ventilation holes and/or take in deeper drags when they smoke.

5.9 mg tar, .77 mg nicotine
Light cigarettes contain less tar and nicotine than regular cigarettes, while ultra light cigarettes contain even lower levels of tar and nicotine. Additionally, ultra lights often have ventilation holes in the filter to dilute the smoke with air, making them appear lighter. However, both still pose health risks and are not necessarily a safer alternative to regular cigarettes.
nicotine actually its not nicotine.......nicotine is the ingredient that hooks you ... its the smoke that does the harm....very few people have ever died from nicotine poisening ... millions die from smoke
You can see visible light but not ultra violet light.
It depends on if the cigarette (Capri) is a menthol, light or ultra light, 100/120, or a combination. Basically, according to this one website (listed below) it's between .5mg and 1mg. I would encourage you to visit the RJ Reynold's website to see the ingredients, if you wish. I was trying to find the answer to this particular question, because I'm trying to quit (as of August 15). The expense, both physically and financially of Capris may not be worth the short term benefits. And there is the potential (according to at least one study) that cigarettes may cause subtle to negative cellular structural changes even if they don't cause malignant tumorous growth in the lungs, mouth, throat, esophagus, etc. They are smooth, but so is the skin of some snakes.
